Application System for Winter Abroad at Yonsei

For students enrolled at an APRU or AEARU associate university, the scholarship(100,000 KRW) will be automatically deducted from  the tuition when admission is offered.

The APRU AEARU associate university scholarship will be indicated under the [Tuition Payment] menu, 'promotion' section.

For Early Bird acceptees, the total promotion amount will be the sum of the Early Bird promotion and the APRU/AEARU associate university scholarship.

Yes, you can download the 'Letter of Admission' through the application system, after you have paid your full tuition fee.

Application System > Application Details > Application Status > 'print' Letter of Admission.

To become an Early Bird, students should:

- Submit application & Pay application fee before the Early Bird Application Deadline 
- Pay the full tuition fee before the Early Bird Tuition Fee Deadline 

*Please note that those who fail to pay the application fee before the Early Bird Application Deadline / those who fail to pay the full tuition fee before the Early Bird Tuition Fee deadline will lose their Early Bird benefits.

Please note that "Course Interest Survey" in the application is for SURVEY purposes only.
It does NOT guarantee your Course Registration.
All the courses must be enrolled through the official course registration period later on through the Yonsei Portal system.

In case you fail in making a credit card payment, we recommend you to first contact your credit card company to check with the error.

Also, we also recommend you to follow the following solutions accordingly.
1) 3D Secure: In most of the cases, the error occurs due to the 3D secure authentication. You may encounter an error message saying “Parameter Error”. In this case please check if your card has been verified for 3D security (VISA)/ SecureCode (Master Card), and J/Secure™ (JCB).
3D Secure is an authentication service for secure online card payment that is recommended by VISA, Mastercard, and JCB. "3D Secure" is the general term for authentication services provided by each card brands under different names.

* Please be informed that cards issued by companies that has not prepared for payment with 3D Secure can not be used.

Registration: In order to use 3D Secure with your credit card, you have to register with your bank. The bank that issued the credit card is responsible for the registration.

2) Error message stating that "the developer setting is not correct":
This happens when there is a problem in the router/ firewall. An easy solution for this would be to connect your phone’s hotspot to the laptop and try the payment again.

3) The page tells me to enter 12 numbers instead of 16 digits.

The lock at the last box does not mean that you cannot put the numbers.
It is just a sign that the last 4 digits at the last box will be shown as dots(●) or stars(＊) due to safety issues.
So, you can just put the full number of your credit card.

4) Send us a screenshot of the error message with a detailed explanation via email (iwinter@yonsei.ac.kr). The more information you contain; it is easier for us to assist you.

It can be differed based on the payment method you used to make a payment.

Please allow at least three weeks for the process.

Courses you applied for on the application are for survey purposes only.

After your acceptance is confirmed, you should register for courses by the online instructions during Course Registration Period.

Detailed information will be provided to students via email and notice. ​

Please note that only currently enrolled students(undergraduate/graduate) or students high school seniors are accepted to a university/college can apply for WAY.

If you are newly admitted to a college/university(undergraduate/graduate), please submit your official letter of acceptance instead of your transcript.

If you have already graduated university/college, you are not eligible to apply for our program.

If you meet all the requirements, submitted all your documents and paid your application fee, you will be notified of your admission decision within 1-2 weeks by email. However, if you have not paid your application fee, documents will be on hold until the payment is completed. Please make sure your application fee is paid to ensure timely processing of your documents.

First, fill out all the application information on your application form then Save and Submit.

Second, make payment to your application fee via Flywire(international) or Wire Transfer(Domestic).

Wait for the screening process. It will take 1-2 weeks.

You will find out your admission results via email or you can check your status on this website.

Yes. Please upload the softcopy of the original documents when you fill out your application form.

For your TRANSCRIPT, please check the following guidelines:

1. Must be issued within 3 months

2. Documented in English (if not, please submit the official translation of the document)

3. Officially issued by the institution (with institution mark, registrar/admission office’s signature, etc)

4. Proper Format(PDF preferable)

For your PASSPORT, please check the following guidelines:

We recommend students to submit a valid passport that remains valid for at least six months from their arrival date in Korea.
If your passport is CURRENTLY BEING RENEWED, enter "00000000" in the passport number field and submit a copy of your old passport to complete the application process.  All international students are responsible for having a valid passport in time to enter South Korea for the program.
